Mr. Halbreich was named Chairman and Interim Chief Executive Officer for Sun-Times Media Group, Inc. in 2009, bringing extensive industry experience to the firm. He is the former President and General Manager of The Dallas Morning News, where he spent 24 years working in multiple management positions. He founded American Consolidated Media (ACM) in 1998, which he developed into one of the largest community newspaper groups in the U.S., with more than 100 community newspapers nationwide. Mr. Halbreich sold ACM in 2007 to an Australian media group and then founded Amercomm, LLC, a media management and investment holding company, where he serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. Additionally, Mr. Halbreich is on the Board of Directors at LibreDigital, Victoria Enterprises and American Community Newspapers. He also is a past Chairman, President and a current Trustee for the Dallas Museum of Art. Mr. Halbreich is a graduate of Harvard College and the Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.

Mr. Surkamer has served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Sun-Times News Group since September 2007 and was named President in February 2009. Mr. Surkamer joined the Company in January 2007 as Vice President of Operations. Prior to joining the Sun-Times News Group, Mr. Surkamer was President and Chief Operating Officer of Rollex Corp., a manufacturer and distributor of building products based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Mr. Surkamer began his career in newspapers with the Chicago Tribune, where he held a variety of managerial positions in circulation, distribution and production.

Mr. Kram joined the Company in 2004 as Corporate Controller and added the position of Chief Accounting Officer in 2006. He was elected Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer in March, 2009. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Kram worked at Budget Group, Inc., for 17 years, spending the last seven as Vice President and Controller. He began his career at Ernst & Young, working in the Audit Department. Mr. Kram received a BS in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Mr. McDonough was promoted to Chief Administrative Officer on February 2009 and has served as General Counsel and Secretary since December 2006. He joined the company in January 2005 as Assistant General Counsel and Chief Counsel of the company's Chicago Group, which includes the Chicago Sun-Times. Mr. McDonough was formerly a corporate partner in the Chicago office of Gardner Carton & Douglas LLP, where he served as outside counsel to the Audit Committee of the Company.

Mr. Byrd became Treasurer in November 2006, having joined Sun-Times Media Group in July 2006. Prior thereto, he was Corporate Treasurer at Global Home Products. From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Byrd was Director of Treasury Services at Sensient Technologies Corporation. For 16 years he worked at American National Can Company, which became American National Can Group in 1999. He was Vice President and Treasurer at American National Can Company from 1997 to 1999 and at American National Can Group from 1999 to 2000.

Ms Swanson joined the Company in 2008 as Group Vice President, Advertising and Marketing and in 2009 was promoted to Senior Vice President. Previously, she spent two years with A.R. Systems, Inc., a receivables management firm, where she served as Vice President of Sales for the Midwest region. Additionally, she spent 27 years working for Chicago Tribune Company in a variety of capacities, most recently as Vice President of Classified Advertising.
